VIETNAMESE LANGUAGE & LITERATURE TEACHER

Job Summary:
The Vietnamese Language & Literature Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction aligned with the Language & Literature curriculum standards. The teacher fosters critical thinking, literary appreciation, and effective communication skills in Vietnamese, while guiding students to develop their understanding of language, culture, and identity.

Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Learning:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the Language & Literature curriculum framework.
- Foster inquiry-based learning and support students in developing critical analysis, interpretation, and academic writing skills.
- Integrate diverse literary texts (classical and contemporary) to promote appreciation of Vietnamese language and culture.
- Guide students in completing internal assessments and extended written projects where applicable.
- Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.

Curriculum and Collaboration:
- Contribute to the review and development of the Vietnamese Language & Literature curriculum to ensure alignment with school objectives and academic standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to promote interdisciplinary learning experiences.
- Participate actively in professional development and maintain current understanding of modern teaching methodologies and assessment requirements.

Student Support:
- Mentor and support students in their academic, personal, and language development journey.
- Encourage open-mindedness, cultural awareness, and respect for different perspectives.
- Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians on student progress and well-being.

Professional Conduct:
- Maintain accurate records of student achievement, attendance, and performance.
- Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development activities.
- Uphold the school’s mission, vision, and core values through professional behavior and commitment to excellence.

– Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, majoring in Vietnamese Literature.
– Or a bachelor’s degree or higher in Vietnamese Literature with a recognized teaching certificate or qualification.
– Teaching experience in international schools is an advantage.
– Proficient in academic Vietnamese with a solid understanding of literary concepts and the Vietnamese literature curriculum.
– Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
– Passionate about teaching and committed to fostering students’ intellectual development.
