    Job Description:

    SNA-HCMC is looking for an experienced MYP Coordinator to commence August 2025.     Responsibilities:
    The MYP (Middle Years Programme) Coordinator is one of the key members of the Senior Leadership Team at SNA, playing a vital role in the coordination and implementation of the MYP at SNA. This role involves managing and maintain high-standard teaching quality of the MYP, as well as overseeing the administrative work of the MYP teaching group.
    Pedagogical Leadership:
    - Mentor teachers and model good inquiry practice in the classrooms.
    - Lead professional development sessions for faculty.
    - Oversee curriculum review and facilitating curriculum development across the whole school.
    - Support teachers in the development of assessment tools in line with the school’s assessment policy.
    - Ensure that Grades 6 to 10 have a well-organized curriculum that is articulated with the IB PYP and IB DP, ensuring that there is concurrency of learning between classes in the same subject and level.
    - Ensure that the planning and teaching of the IB Learner Profile (LP) and of Approaches to Learn Skills (ATL skills) show a coherent development from Grade 6 to Grade 10.
    - Develop and using assessment results to lead curriculum review and development and ensuring that these results are used, where appropriate, in reflection upon teaching practice.
    - Support and advising teaching staff regarding the administration of the MYP.
    - Develop the Community/Personal Project component within the G6-10 programme.
    - Facilitate collaborative planning.
    Professional Development
    - Ensure that staff members are made aware of professional development opportunities.
    - Ensure IB teaching staff receive ongoing training in the delivery of the programme.
    - Make recommendations regarding professional development opportunities on and off campus.
    - Assessing the professional development needs of MYP teachers and coordinate their participation in appropriate workshops.
    - Provide appropriate guidance and support are given to staff to implement the programme.
    - Assist teams and individuals in developing and documenting units of inquiry.
    - Support the teachers responsible for, and the students involved in, the Projects exhibition in the final year of the programme, ensure that all MYP teachers are issued with passwords to access ‘MY IB’.
    Communication:
    - Ensure that all requirements of the IB concerning the implementation of the programme are adhered to.
    - Set up systems for communication and collaboration among all staff members involved in implementing the programme.
    - Conduct parent information sessions and regular contact with parents to inform their queries.
    - Develop, create MYP newsletters.
    - Circulate all relevant information received from the IB and ensure that teachers and other staff are kept up to date with current developments in the programme.
    - Prepare and submit any documentation required for authorization and evaluation.
    - Respond to requests for information (for example, questionnaires) from the IB.
    - Provide a liaison between the school and the IB.
    - Provide outreach to the wider MYP community through MY IB discussion forums.
    - Promote the use of the MY IB within the school community.
    Resource Management:
    - Make recommendations for the purchase of suitable resources to support the implementation of the programme.
    - Be responsible for the establishment of an inventory of resources to facilitate efficient collaboration.
    Student Support:
    - Ensure that students are nurtured and supported within a safe environment according to Child Protection Policy enhancing academic outcomes, supporting students in their journey through adolescence and assisting in their personal, social and mental development so that they may reach their full potential.
    - Teaching Load - Plan and execute Theory of Knowledge curriculum to the Diploma students. Also, supervising Personal Projects and portfolios along with Personal Project Coordinator and e-portfolio teachers.

    Job Requirement:

    Qualifications:
    – Master’s degree in education.
    – Secondary license or certification for teaching, e.g. PGDE, PGCE, PGCEi.
    Specialized requirements:
    – 3+ years of teaching experience, with leadership roles in IB MYP/DP.
    – Strong understanding of IB philosophy, ATL skills, and LP attributes.
    – Proven ability to lead curriculum review and support assessment development.
    – Experience mentoring teachers and leading professional development.
    – Skilled in collaborative planning, communication with stakeholders, and staff support.
    – Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
    – Familiar with MyIB, online planning tools, and resource management.
    – Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
    – Committed to student well-being and holistic education.
