SNA Saigon South Achieves Three Globally Recognized Standards of Excellence

International Schools of North America (SNA) – Saigon South Campus has recently achieved accreditation from the Council of International Schools (CIS), been reaccredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), and received reauthorization from the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) to continue offering the International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes.

These outcomes reflect the school’s ongoing efforts to maintain educational quality in accordance with internationally recognized standards.

Commenting on these achievements, Dr. Robert Mullins, Head of School at SNA Saigon South Campus, shared:

To achieve these results, SNA Saigon South underwent comprehensive reviews conducted by independent international education experts. The evaluations covered a broad range of areas, including academic programmes, teaching quality, faculty capacity, student wellbeing and safety, governance systems, school culture, and engagement with parents and the wider community.

Since 2022, SNA Saigon South has been authorized to offer the full continuum of International Baccalaureate programmes and has participated in regular evaluation cycles required by the IBO. Following its most recent review, the school was reauthorized to continue delivering all three IB programmes.

According to the IBO evaluation report, SNA Saigon South demonstrated clear systems, policies, and procedures for programme implementation. Teaching and learning were noted for their connection to real-world contexts, supporting students in developing knowledge, skills, and independent learning capabilities.

In addition, CIS accreditation recognizes the school’s overall performance across a range of operational and educational standards. The evaluation highlighted a safe learning environment, a positive school culture, facilities that support teaching and learning, and strong engagement from the parent community.

SNA Saigon South was also successfully reaccredited by WASC, a U.S.-based accrediting body. The reaccreditation confirms that the school continues to meet established standards in educational quality, governance, and operational effectiveness while maintaining a commitment to continuous improvement.

Within a school environment that is regularly reviewed through international accreditation processes, students benefit not only from internationally recognized academic programmes but also from opportunities to engage in project-based learning, extracurricular activities, and authentic learning experiences.

Today, SNA Saigon South is one of the few schools in Vietnam authorized to offer all three International Baccalaureate programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP). This continuum enables students to progress through a consistent educational framework while building a foundation for future university and career pathways.
