FOLLOW THE SUMMER STUDENTS AT SNA TO DISCOVER WEEK 2 – ORIENTATION IN SPACE AND TIME

With the week 2 theme of “A Happy Summer Train For Future Leaders”, students have the opportunity to explore personal histories; home and journeys; turning points in humankind explorations and migrations of humankind; the relationships between and the interconnectedness of individuals and civilizations from personal, local and global perspectives.

• Primary students were quite excited to learn about the Magellan’s Circumnavigation of the Earth – first voyage around the world made by the Portuguese maritime explorer. Since then, students had been created their own model with routes and landmasses with paper mache – an art material made from recycled paper stuck together with glue or paste. At SNA’s summer camp, intertwined with the hours of learning, there are lots of laughter and singing of teachers and students through interactive activities and maximizing the ability to use English

• Secondary students continue to participate in exciting projects in STEM class, learning about food science, Vietnamese culture and making simple food. Especially, math lessons become livelier and more fascinating when students had a chance to create 3D objects to practice the knowledge of geometry. Additionally, students also learned about time and space by analyzing different cultures.

Outing trip at the end of each week is the most expected, students are immersed in a real environment, observing, learning and collecting information on their own through a visit to the Ho Chi Minh City History Museum. In addition to the useful knowledge, team building and extracurricular activities (sports) are an opportunity to equip soft skills, enhance diversity and towards a more comprehensive development for students
