International School Tuition and Fees in Ho Chi Minh City: 2025 – 2026
International schools, with their high-quality educational environments and modern facilities, are a top choice for many parents. Before deciding on an international school for their child, it is crucial for parents to consider the associated costs of education.
So, how much is international school tuition in Ho Chi Minh City? This article from the International School of North America (SNA) provides a detailed breakdown of our tuition and fee schedule for the 2025-2026 academic year to help parents with their research and financial planning.
What do international school fees typically include?
Understanding the complete fee structure is essential for parents when choosing a school. The tuition fees can serve as an initial indicator of the school’s educational quality. Moreover, a clear understanding of the fees allows parents to select an international school that aligns with their family’s financial capacity.
In reality, the total cost of an international school education comprises the official tuition fee plus several other associated charges. Below are the common fees parents can expect to pay when enrolling their child in an international school.
Enrollment fee
Most international schools today collect an Enrollment Fee, which is also known as a placement-securing fee. This fee covers the administrative processing of documents related to the student’s admission application. The Enrollment Fee is a one-time, non-refundable payment. This means if a parent pays the fee but later decides not to enroll their child, the fee will not be returned.
Application processing fee
The Application Processing Fee is a mandatory, one-time, non-refundable fee required at the time of submitting an application. The school uses this fee to open and manage the student’s admission file, conduct entrance examinations, and arrange class placement.
Tuition fee
The Tuition Fee is the official core fee that parents must pay for each academic year. Schools typically announce the tuition schedule at the beginning of the school year. Official tuition may cover teaching and learning expenses, such as textbooks, learning materials, and some extracurricular activities. Depending on the institution, annual tuition can range from 100 – 900 million VND.

Capital development fee
The Capital Development Fee is another common charge on an international school’s fee schedule. This fee is allocated towards the construction and enhancement of the school’s facilities for the current and future academic years. This ensures that students have the best possible learning environment.
Textbooks and uniforms
Most international schools recommend textbooks from international publishers that align with their curriculum. Therefore, parents will need to purchase the books suggested by the school. Additionally, students are required to wear a school uniform, which may include shirts, trousers/skirts, hats, bags, and shoes. Parents can order uniform items based on their needs.
Meal and bus service fees
Meal and bus services are optional fees for services provided by the school. These cover on-campus meals and home-to-school transportation. The bus service fee is not fixed and is calculated based on the distance from the student’s home to the school.
Extracurricular activities fee
In addition to the core academic curriculum, international schools frequently organize extracurricular activities. To participate, parents may need to register and pay an additional fee. However, at some schools, this cost may already be included in the official tuition fee.
Additional school service fees
These are fees for optional services the school provides, such as school counseling, language support, or special education programs.
