My role as deputy head of whole school at SNA is incredibly exciting as it means that I get the chance to work with all the students, teachers and parents across the school. SNA has a heart and soul that you can feel as soon as you walk through the gates and this is down to the dedication of the staff members we have here and the engaged, thoughtful and hardworking students. I am truly impressed by the faculty’s energy, positivity and commitment to providing the best education for the students.
I am passionate about the IB educational philosophy and I believe that every student deserves to have the opportunity to reach their full potential and through the IB framework we create a rigorous curriculum with individualised support to meet the needs of all of our learners. As we prepare our students for their futures, we strive to empower them with the necessary skills with a focus on student leadership so we can ensure they leave SNA with the tools to succeed in a global world.
I have worked in education for 20 years in the UK, Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh city. And I pride myself on having worked in many different areas within the school environment over the years, enabling me to have the skills, knowledge and experience to see what is working well and what needs improvement, so we are continually driving for success.
Barak Obama once spoke about over communication being the key to people not filling in the blanks, so I encourage all parents, students and staff to reach out and talk and together we can overcome any hurdles.
I am deeply honored to be afforded this opportunity to help develop and grow our Primary Years Programme into a powerhouse of inquiry, learning and excitement.
Over the last eight years education has become part of who I am, as I taught in private, international and IB schools in China. I believe in putting our learners at heart of our community by giving them voice, choice and ownership over their learning. I aim to dispel the idea that inquiry-based learning is a chaotic free for all and demonstrate the benefits of structured inquiry that places 21st century skills, international mindedness and IB elements proactively and purposefully at the forefront.
Alongside this, I am passionate about building engagement across the SNA family, including our learners, parents and teachers, bridging the gaps and ensuring we all are actively involved in our collective learning journeys that culminate in the PYP at the PYP Exhibition.
I look forward to working in collaboration with our PYP teachers, learners and parents in building upon our foundations and creating a positive and engaging environment that will house our family of life-long learners, and that will prepare our PYP learners not just for their next big leap into MYP, but for a life full of endless opportunity and promise.
As the MYP Coordinator, Mr. Sandip brings an exceptional blend of expertise and leadership underpinned by a strong academic foundation with a major in Mathematics and a Master’s in Education.
His illustrious career spans various educational landscapes across India and Africa, where he has not only taught but also mentored and inspired both students and educators. Beyond his teaching roles, he has served as a workshop mentor, guiding fellow educators in best practices, and as a DP examiner, contributing his sharp analytical skills to maintain the highest standards in assessments. His global experience is further enriched by his work as an educational consultant in the United States, Dubai, India and Thailand, where he has shared his profound knowledge in technology integration and curriculum design.
Having held pivotal roles such as subject leader, program coordinator, and vice principal, Mr. Sandip comes with a plethora of insights and a deep commitment to fostering academic excellence and holistic development within the IB framework.
As the Diploma Programme (DP) Coordinator, I am thrilled to collaborate with students, teachers, and families during the crucial final two years of high school. These years come with numerous challenges, but also significant rewards and achievements. I am fully committed to supporting every student through a rigorous academic program that enables them to achieve their best and prepares them for future studies and careers.
Beyond these high academic expectations, SNA is committed to guiding students through a process of personal development. We aim to prepare them to navigate an uncertain future with emerging challenges and needs. My role is to support each student in reaching their goals while fostering their growth into well-rounded individuals who are committed to lifelong learning and capable of making a positive impact on a global society.
With over 14 years of experience in IB schools in Latin America and a background as a Diploma Programme examiner, I am devoted to guiding and inspiring our team of educators. Our mission is to serve as a bridge between students and their learning journey, instilling a passion for the IB principles and ensuring that every student remains at the center of their educational experience.
