As of May 2022, SNA Saigon South Campus was thrilled to receive full authorization for all 3 IB programmes and thus become 1 of only 6 IB Continuum Schools in Vietnam. Continuum schools are so called due to the fact that they are authorized to deliver three IB programmes: the Primary Years Programme, the Middle Years Programme, and the Diploma Programme.

The Curriculum

MIDDLE YEARS PROGRAMME

  • The IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) is designed for students aged 11 to 16. It provides a framework of learning that encourages students to become creative, critical and reflective thinkers.
  • The MYP emphasizes intellectual challenge, encouraging students to make connections between their studies in traditional subjects and the real world. It fosters the development of skills for communication, intercultural understanding and global engagement

PRIMARY YEARS PROGRAMME

  • The Primary Years Programme (PYP) is a curriculum framework applied over 5,000 schools around the world. It is a broad and balanced framework to enhance learning in the critical early years of cognitive development. It puts the student’s learning needs at the heart of the whole school community.

  • Accordingly, teaching and learning revolve around developing the IB learner profile, encompassing comprehensive knowledge, critical thinking and international mindedness.

DIPLOMA YEARS PROGRAMME

  • The IB Diploma Programme (DP) is a two-year international education programme that prepares students age 16–19 years for success going into, and throughout, university.
  • The DP offers a holistic approach to teaching and learning with a keen focus on developing intercultural awareness. Students learn to explore and understand the world around them through inquiry, critical thinking and open-mindedness.
