PSYCHOLOGY & ENGLISH LANGUAGE & LITERATURE TEACHER – SNA IB HCMC – SY 2026-2027
Job Description:
SNA-HCMC is looking for an experienced Psychology & English Language & Literature Teacher, to commence in AUGUST 2026. Candidates should already have a minimum of at least 02 years of teaching the MYP/ DP. Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) are an expectation as we move forward with developing our CCA program.

Responsibilities:
• Teach 50% DP Psychology and 50% MYP/ DP English Language & Literature
• Familiarize oneself with, to respect and adhere to SNA school policies, practices and procedures.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with students, parents, teachers and others.
• Embrace and promote IB approaches to teaching and learning (ATL’s) in the course of daily teaching.
• Model the IB learner profile attributes.
• Where applicable, assist students in the MYP/ DP exhibition.
• Participate in collaborative grade level/cross-curricular/cross programme meetings to develop the written and
taught curriculum.
• Commit to ongoing personal professional development.
• Communicate and liaise on a regular basis with department members with regards to planning, assessment,
parent and community contact, subject organization and classroom issues such including behaviour
management, expectations and routines.
• Communicate and collaborate with other school colleagues in an effort to promote social and emotional awareness.
• Take an active role in behavioral management and pastoral care of homeroom and other class groups.
• Attend and constructively contribute to staff meetings.
• Assist in supervision of student breaks when required.
• Coordinate class activities as deemed necessary.
• Maintain up-to-date records of assessment, attendance, planning, reports, conferences, and communication
with parents via ManageBac and Classdojo/Seesaw.
• Establish links with the parent community to ensure that parents are kept well informed about student learning.
• Act as a resource/contact/support point for new staff members (i.e. curriculum, schedules, procedures).
• Participate in and assist with school events as required and to complete any additional task(s) given by the DP Coordinator.
Job Requirement:
• Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Education, Psychology, English or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in university counselling or related guidance role.
• Experience working in an international or IB school environment is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of international university systems and application processes.
• Ability to guide students through multiple application platforms and pathways.
• Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and external stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Student-centered, ethical, and confidential approach to counselling.
